NOTES

 
i) Phosphate is required for normal plant growth.
ii) Phosphate has low solubility in the soil and concentrations remained constant over a long time period.
iii) Expectancy: Phosphate concentrations will remain stable in the soil and won't leach rapidly.
 

RESULTS

 
Phosphate concentration remained stable.

CONCLUSIONS

 
2000 mm. Rain did not leach phosphate from the soil in all experiments.
